Volleyball is a really fun sport. I have played for 4 years. I started playing in the 6th grade for ymca then I played for Douglass Middle School in 7th grade, then i was asked to play for the city and this year I played for Douglass 8th graders. I suggest that if you are going to try out, you should know how to bump,set,and spike. Not only that you should also learn how to serve the ball over the net. A lot of people think that volleyball is a boring sport, but to some it's fun. When I played for Club Woodland (city), my aunt was the coach, but that doesnt mean that she went easy on me, she made me work harder than any of the other girls on that team. Volleyball isn't an easy sport, it take time, practice and motivation. When your in the game you have to be in the right spot at all times. I was an outside hitter for Club. When i was in the game i would have to be next to the setter then when the ball went over i had to be behinde the setter and there were so many different spots i had to be in, it got really confussing, but if you have a good coach then you'll get it after a while. This is the 1st year that I have played club volleyball and i regret not trying out.
